The Caucasus is one of the cradles of civilization where ancient states and powerful cultures flourished for many thousand years BC. Its unique geographical location at the crossroad of Europe and Asia and vibrant political developments through centuries have created a unique blend of history and cultural traditions having no analogue in the modern world. Georgia and Armenia are considered the biggest attractions of the region due to their fascinating history and landscape where one can enjoy different types of extreme sports and simultaneously explore ancient caved towns and medieval churches, observe local cultural traditions and customs, experience exquisite national cuisines and the oldest known winemaking methods.
