ABOUT  MT. CHAUKHI

 

Mountain Chaukhi, located on the eastern part of Caucasus. Chaukhi is big rocky massive mountains. There are 14 Summits. Maximum altitude is 3800 Meter. 
Technical difficulties of these region mountains are from easiest to most difficult. The Base camp is located at 2550 meter on grassland, between 2 rivers, with very beautiful views. 

Sightseeing, you will meet on your way (Military road Georgia): Small town Mtskheta, old capital of Georgia until VI century, church Svetitskhoveli; the church Jvary, built in VIth century; Ananury church; Jvary pass 2395 m; Small town Stephantsminda and Mt. Kazbek view; Old village Juta.

PROGRAM OF ASCENSION TO MOUNTAIN CHAUKHI 3800 M.


Day 1 - Meeting at the Airport and transfer to hostel (Normal) or hotel (Business). 
Day 2 - Meeting at Tbilisi hotel 9 a.m. Drive to the village of Juta 2200m. in Kazbegi region by crossing the Jvari Pass, 2380m. 
On the Caucasian Main Range(5-6 hours). Trek from the village to the Chaukhi Mountains (2 hours). Base camp, 2550m. 
Overnights in tents. 

Day 3 - Wake up at 6 a.m. Breakfast. Ascents of the Chaukhi Mountains, 3800m, (Grade 1A-3A UIAA) 
Day 4 - Wake up at 6 a.m. Breakfast. Ascents of the Chaukhi Mountains, 3800m, (Grade 1A-3A UIAA) 
Day 5 - Reserve day (in case of bad weather). 
Day 6 - Wake up at 10 a.m. Breakfast. Departure to Tbilisi. Dinner in Tbilisi traditional restaurant. Hostel 
Day 7 - Transfer to the Airport.
